In planning the development, the data about employment plays an important role. Development programs can not be implemented without the labor. The Availability of complete, accurate, valid and sustainable employment data would facilitate the Government in making development plans. Labor is the population which aged 15 years or more, (according to the International Labour Organization) called the working age population.

One of the important index in employment is the Dependency Ratio. Dependency Ratio is a comparison between the number of people aged 0-14 years, plus the population 65 years and above compared with the population aged 15-64 years. The dependency ratio can be seen by age that is the young Dependency Ratio and the Old Dependency Ratio.
